Time for some more poetry in this week's quote of the week:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour...
....
A truth that's told with bad intent
Beats all the Lies you can invent. - William Blake from 'Auguries of Innocence'

Quote of the week...
It is said that for money you can have everything, but you cannot. You can buy food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; knowledge but not wisdom; glitter, but not beauty; fun, but not joy; acquaintances, but not friends; servants, but not faithfulness; leisure, but not peace. You can have the husk of everything for money, but not the kernel. - Anna Garborg
All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy. - Spike Milligan
On the theme of money... I heard a story on the radio today; some theives were trying to break into a cash machine by setting it on fire and they ended up burning the money!

Quote of the week...
Know the true value of time; snatch, seize and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. - Lord Chesterfield
I should read this every time I find myself wasting time on the internet and not getting on with making thing...

Quote of the week...
Oh dear, I haven't posted a quote of the week since 8th September! Well to make up for it here are two quotes on the theme of stars...
The stars are majestic laboratories, gigantic crucibles, such as no chemist could dream. - Henri Poincare
Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship. - General Omar Bradley

We are Sailing...
I've been waiting for a treasury slot since posting my last 'Quote of the Week' and got one last night! I didn't think that I would because I was expecting the next slot to be open in the middle of the night and I wasn't going to stay up late just for a treasury!!
You can see the treasury in full here on Etsy.
Inspired by John Masefield's 'Sea Fever' poem I chose items with a sea/ sailing theme. Here is a screen shot of my treasury:

Quote of the week...
This week the quote is actually from the poem 'Sea Fever';
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
And the wheel's kick and the wind's sing and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking. - John Masefield
There's no particular reason why I chose this for 'quote of the week' other than I like the poem! I'm thinking that my next Etsy treasury may have a sea theme... :)

Quote of the week...
A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do. - Bob Dylan
I'm feeling positive today - I woke up to a nice surprise of 4 sales! August seems to be a good month for me so far - hopefully it will continue to improve over the next few months! I wonder if things are picking up for other people - are people starting to spend more again?

Sepia Dreams
I finally timed it right and caught a treasury slot on Etsy! :D
Inspired by last week's 'Quote of the week' I decided to create a treasury based on the title 'Sepia Dreams'. It features some lovely work by fellow Etsians - some of whom I'd never come across before.
Here's a screen shot of my treasury..
You can see the treasury in full by clicking here.

Quote of the week...
As well as sharing my work and ideas I thought it would be nice to have a few other regular things in my blog, so here is my first 'Quote of the week'... :)
I have dreamed in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind. - Emily Bronte
There are dreams I had years ago that I still remember... and I think the dreams that I have when I am awake have turned my mind sepia coloured - with a little brass and copper too!
