Treasury: London Today

Did you see the Royal Wedding yesterday?  I thought Kate's dress was beautiful and they looked so happy together.  It's nice to have something positive in the news that so many people can share in! :)
This treasury on Etsy has a London/ Royal Wedding theme - created by moonmommas you can see it in full here, (it includes my Rule Britannia collage sheet).

Rule Britannia

I thought I would join in with all the British and Royal Wedding inspired things that are around at the moment - so I created some new digital scrapbooking/ collage sheets.  With a red, white and blue theme they feature the union jack, crowns and corgis...

They were fun to make (and once I make one I always want to make more!) - I like using a combination of pen drawings and digital art, hopefully it makes them a little different to ones that other people make too.  These are both available in my Etsy shop now.

I'm looking forward to having another Bank Holiday tomorrow - hope everyone has a good day whether they celebrate the wedding or not!

New Moo Greeting Cards and Postcards

Most of last week seems to have disappeared into a blur of craft fayre activity!  I spent the week preparing for the Creations Spring Craft Fayre... making things for my stalls, putting up posters and all the other last minute things which needed doing.  The fayre went well, everyone's stalls looked great! There are photos of the event on the fayre's blog: www.creationsfayre.blogspot.com
So this week I'm catching up on things which were put off until after the craft fayre.  I have new makes to share and new products with my illustrations, like these cards and postcards printed by Moo...
I love getting parcels from Moo in the post - their packaging always makes me smile! :)
These postcards are a new product line, they feature a mix of Hexley and animal illustrations and should be appearing in my Etsy shop soon...
I have some new greeting cards too with Hexley and animal illustrations as well as some new card designs like the cupcake cards...

Sewing Project: Clockwork Bird Purse

Following on from my last post, here is one of my latest makes... a coin purse and keyring featuring two of my clockwork bird illustrations...

I did a bit of research online to work out how to sew the lining and zip in (as well as making it up as I went along!)  The bird on the purse was printed on transfer paper, ironed onto white fabric, then machine stiched onto the dusky pink fabric (next time I'll get some transfer paper that can be ironed straight onto any colour fabric.)

I love collecting fabrics and thought something like this combines my artwork with sewing, so if I make some to sell they will still fit in with the rest of my art shop.
