Each issue also comes with a free gift and this month it was a crochet bow brooch kit. I’ve been a bit slow at using some of the past free gifts but made this little brooch almost as soon as I got the magazine! It was a fun and simple project to make in front of the tv one evening, the cotton yarn included was really nice to work with too. I think I’ll have to look out some of my other kits to make!

It's a bargain!
I don't normally make many impulse buys but I love bargains so when I saw all these magazines at my local market on the magazine stall I had to have them! Only £2.50 for 3 magazines is an amazing saving. I have lots of things to read and ideas for things to make... now all I need is a little more time!

Pick of the week... Mollie Makes
This post is a bit late really as I've had a copy of Mollie Makes magazine since before my holiday but I wanted to share this great new magazine as this week's 'Pick of the Week'.
Inside are lots of interesting articles on handmade and vintage and a good mix of tutorials too. This issue came with a free kit to make a pretty felt flower - the photo above is the flower I made :)
Find out more about Mollie Makes on their website - http://www.molliemakes.com/ I'll be keeping an eye out for the next issue!

Magazine article - Art Business Today
I was recently interviewed for an article about selling art online. Although I haven't been able to see a print copy of the article, I was very excited to see my little contribution (and Mechanical Butterfly illustration) included in the latest edition of 'Art Business Today'! :D (You can see the magazine online here, the article 'Embracing the new' starts on page 46).
The article is a really interesting read - comparing different online markets and the experiences artists have with selling through them.

Making
I just had to share this magazine; Making, which I discovered today! The front cover of this launch issue really caught my eye - it's packed full of articles with artists/crafters and makers and projects from re-upholstering a chair to upcycling an old dress and from making cupcakes to making a wellie holder!
It's full of the things I love - if only there was more time in the day to make everything!...
