New Paper Crafting Kits

I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog recently, the reason is I have been working on some exciting new products and I’m finally able to show you what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks!  I am expanding the craft supplies section of my shop and combining my designs for scrapbooking papers with some gorgeous new supplies like ribbons, bakers twine and buttons.

There are 3 new collections of kits; ‘London Calling’, ‘Cupcakes and Roses’ and ‘Steampunk’.  Each theme will have a card making kit and embellishment pack.  I will also be selling separate sets of things like baker’s twine.  If these prove popular I will be adding more themes and colours too.

The London / British themed card making kit contains 5 cards and envelopes, printed patterned papers, collage sheet and embellishments such as ribbon, buttons and beads.  (I love the bunting grosgrain ribbon in this set!)

The embellishment pack contains the same embellishments in red, white and blue as the card making kit but more of everything – longer lengths of ribbon, more buttons, beads, brads…

This pretty Cupcakes and Roses themed kit has blank cards, patterned rose paper, hot pink stripy buttons, pastel green and pink bakers twine and more…

The Cupcakes and Roses embellishment pack contains more ribbon, buttons, beads etc than in the card making kit.  Each of the embellishment packs contains fabric covered brads which I have made using different patterned new and vintage fabrics.

The Steampunk card making kit contains card blanks made from recycled card, brown kraft envelopes, patterned papers and collage sheets featuring my steampunk illustrations and coordinating embellishments.

Inside the Steampunk embellishment pack are 4 different colours of baker’s twine, satin ribbon, mini spotty buttons, beads and more…

I’m also adding other craft supplies to my shop like this card of baker’s twine in 5 bright colours.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! After a nice Christmas break (which seems to have gone even quicker this year) I am back to work. I have lots of exciting plans for this year which should keep me very busy!

There are brand new supplies kits ready to be listed in my Etsy shop....

I also have ideas for new artwork, including Hexley illustrations. You can look forward to seeing some of that soon - I will also be posting some works in progress including sketchbook pages.

The first thing I have to complete this year though is backing up files and sorting reference photos on my computer - a long and frustrating job but it definately needs doing! Once that is done I can get on with the more enjoyable work of creating things!

Let's hope that with some hard work and a bit of luck 2010 will be a good year!

Bags of Ideas

Having just listed a new 'Bags of Ideas' kit I thought it was a good time to write a little about them here...

My initial idea behind making kits was to clear some of my craft items and send them to a home where they would be used instead of just sitting in my cupboard. I soon came up with the name 'Bags of Ideas' and the concept that they could be bags filled with all sorts of crafty things to inspire the creative mind!

I know that when I am stuck for inspiration I will soon come up with ideas by looking through my crafty collection or by buying something new. Sometimes though you don't want to spend a lot of money buying a whole stack of paper or a big bag of beads.

Each of my Bags of Ideas kits is unique; filled with different papers, fabrics, fibres, beads, buttons and more. They also come packaged in a pretty paper bag making them an ideal gift for new and experienced crafters alike (or a gift for yourself of course!!).
