Positive Thinking - Nothing is Impossible

Positive Thinking - Nothing is impossible the word itself says I'm possible, hand lettering by Hazel Fisher Creations
I'm still enjoying using rainbow colours at the moment, which you can probably tell from this colourful piece of hand lettering! It's my latest post in my 'Positive Thinking' series. I like this Audrey Hepburn quote - it's a fun play on words and a good, positive reminder to keep trying - "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!".

Positive Thinking - You Can't Use Up Creativity

Positive Thinking - You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. Maya Angelou - hand lettering, sketchbook by Hazel Fisher Creations
Does anyone else worry that they will run out of ideas?  When I think about it, that's a silly fear really - just think of how much creativity is in the world and how much inspiration, the number of paintings in galleries or craft projects on Pinterest!  As creative people, we may have times when we don't feel inspired, or motivated to be creative but trying something new can often be the spark to get things going again.  Since I usually have a long list of things I want to make, paint or draw, I should probably trust in this more!...
You can't use up creativity.  The more you use, the more you have. - Maya Angelou

Quote of the week...

Time for some more poetry in this week's quote of the week:

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour...
....
A truth that's told with bad intent
Beats all the Lies you can invent. - William Blake from 'Auguries of Innocence'

Quote of the week...

Know the true value of time; snatch, seize and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. - Lord Chesterfield

I should read this every time I find myself wasting time on the internet and not getting on with making thing...

Quote of the week...

Oh dear, I haven't posted a quote of the week since 8th September! Well to make up for it here are two quotes on the theme of stars...

The stars are majestic laboratories, gigantic crucibles, such as no chemist could dream. - Henri Poincare

Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship. - General Omar Bradley

Quote of the week...

As well as sharing my work and ideas I thought it would be nice to have a few other regular things in my blog, so here is my first 'Quote of the week'... :)

I have dreamed in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind. - Emily Bronte

There are dreams I had years ago that I still remember... and I think the dreams that I have when I am awake have turned my mind sepia coloured - with a little brass and copper too!
