Craft Fayre success, Etsy shops and last posting dates for Christmas!

All the hard work paid off and the Creations Christmas Craft Fayre was a great success! There are more photos of the event on the fayre's blog. We were busier with customers in the morning but unfortunately when the hall was full of people I didn't get chance to use my camera, so the photos are mainly from the afternoon when it was a bit quieter. I was pleased with the feedback I had for the fayre - hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as I did :)
Now that most of the fayres I've booked to have stalls at before Christmas are over it's time to get busy with my online shops again. I found out that you can now sell in different currencies on Etsy so my art shop prices are now in GBP (supplies are still in USD for now) - which should be much easier for me not having to worry about the exchange rate so much. Hopefully being able to use different currencies should also encourage more people from around the world to use Etsy too.
Talking of online shops, here's a little reminder of the last posting dates for Christmas (make sure you place your orders in time!)

*** UK - First Class Tuesday 21st December
Airmail:-
*** Western Europe - Monday 13th December
*** Eastern Europe, USA, Canada - Friday 10th December
*** Rest of the world - Monday 6th December

Creations Christmas Craft Fayre and an Etsy Treasury

Only 2 days to go until the Creations Christmas Craft Fayre! I'm feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as I've never organised an event before. There's still quite a bit of last minute things to do but hopefully all the hard work will pay off - we'll just have to wait and see what happens on the day! If you want to find out more take a look at the blog for the fayre and if you're in the West Bergholt, Colchester area on Saturday please do come along and see all the great handmade items on offer!
On a different note... I started making a treasury on Etsy ages ago with an Autumn Woodland theme and I thought it was time I finished it before Winter gets here!

New Cards

I've been neglecting my blog a bit recently so I thought that it was time I tried to catch up... here are some new cards I've had printed:
I always get a bit nervous sending work away to be printed because I'm never quite sure exactly how they will turn out but I was really pleased with these Hexley cards...

Handmade cards with papers, ribbons etc are great fun to make but they always take me so long to do, so I've been working on some new ideas for cards which are printed but could have hand finished elements too. The 'Wedding', 'Christmas' and 'Birthday' cards below were made by hand cutting letters from coloured card which I then decorated with pen and paint. The rest of the design was drawn in pen and painted in watercolours and finally I scanned the whole design and added a background digitally.

The ladybird card is a little different with the printed part of the card originally made from a combination of collage and watercolours. I've then added a ribbon, punched paper flower and brad to the finished card.
